Amen, often times our blinds spots are found in the areas we love most and if we’re not careful we create our own “truth” rather then allowing God to reveal Truth to us. This can occur in any area of our life which is why God instructions us to buy the truth and sell it not in Pro 23:23. Buying meaning that we don’t have truth with in ourselves and we need to rely up an external resource to (the Word, people who teach the Word) to acquire it. Then once we receive the Truth, we should love it so much that we don’t sell it!

Suffering is a state of mind. God may allow it but God does not cause it. We can get out of suffering by focusing on what God’s will is for us and stop fighting it with what we expect or what we desire, which causes disappointment and suffering. We have to let go of a lot and a lot. I go back to basics a lot. Whenever I think I’m going to suffer, I go back to the promises of God. My situations may look like I’m suffering but internally, I’m really not. I’m just not in the ideal or desirous situation I would have myself in at the time. Thank God that the only thing constant in this world is change. We transform with the renewing of our mind and God is ALWAYS a present help in time of trouble. I don’t sacrifice and I don’t suffer. I’m obedient and I love. I can BE this because I intentionally SURRENDER to love no matter how I feel everyday- what did God say… the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent ONE that I belong to… WHO THE SUN SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED. Suffering is BONDAGE.

Actually, chattel slavery IS the worst kind of slavery of mankind, pre civil war AND after. It didn’t stop at the civil war. Only until post 13th amendment and into indentured servitude did it stop . The kind of slavery in the Old Testament and before and in other countries outside of the US was not chattel. It was more civil and more like real servanthood. A BIG difference. Slaves were swapped has spoils of war and not at all violent. It was valuable, like taking spoils of gold

This message is SO good. Glory to God for the Holy Spirit speaking thru such a willing vessel. Hagar is one of the women in the Bible I identify with and have a heart 4. As a wife, I feel that she was done so wrong by Sarai, BUT God. Sarai gave Hagar status then took it away by kicking her out of their house for very selfish reasons after subjecting her to her brand of servitude.
